Aldi Making Everyday Amazing

In 2014, Aldi made the leap to McCann for their advertising. The result was Kevin the Carrot. Five years later, we entered their staffroom, too. Since then, we’ve eased growing pains for their people as they’ve surpassed 1,000 stores in the UK, creating Everyday Amazing with fun campaigns that amplify their external messaging, and turn 45,000 employees into Aldi ambassadors. 

Team GB’s Official Superfans

Aldi have been Team GB’s Official Supermarket since 2015 but hadn’t yet let colleagues in on the fun. So, for Paris 2024, we created Team GB’s Official Superfans. We set out their superfan status in a patriotic manifesto and turned their office reception into a Team GB fanbase, with a running track, winners’ podium selfie opportunity, posters, and door vinyls.

ALDI Advent

Between dozens of new products and customers in their millions, Christmas is the most challenging time of year for Aldi’s people. Every December since 2018, we’ve been giving them some light, festive relief in the form of digital advent calendars on the MyAldi app. Working closely with McCann Manchester, we create a calendar that expands on the theme of the upcoming Christmas ad, full of pun-tastic daily games and competitions. With 86% of colleagues visiting the site and 219,301 competition entries in 2023 alone, it’s safe to say it’s a big hit.
